Houseplants are all the rave nowadays, for good reasons. They bring life and a sense of calm to any environment. If you do a simple google search, you will see that houseplant trends have changed in different parts of the world over the years. In Kenya, the “trendy” houseplant of back in the day (the 70s) was the money plant aka Pothos. Enter the 21st century, and the houseplant numbers have increased, and variety widened.

In 2020 with Covid restrictions being enforced, we saw a significant increase in urban gardeners, with some media houses terming them as pandemic gardeners.
